• Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc, for additional services required to complete the design of infrastructure improvements to West Street, for a revised amount not to exceed $220,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• A professional services contract with HDR Engineering, Inc, for the design of infrastructure improvements to West Street was authorized by City Council on October 3, 2006 for an amount not to exceed $187,500.
• In 2009, the project was put on hold due to a lack of available funds. This delay also allowed for the completion of the Oak Street Project (located downstream of West Street).
• The Oak Street project has recently been completed and due to the low construction costs the availability of funds is no longer an issue.
• The following are needed in order to complete the design of the project:
o Additional survey to account for new homes and other changes.
o Revised right-of-way and easement documents as a result of changes in property ownership.
o Additional services to incorporate the changes and complete the design of the project.
• HDR Engineering, Inc, has submitted a proposal for the additional services required to complete the design of the project for a revised amount of $212,487, which is an increase of $25,164 above the previous contract amount of $187,323.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc, for an amount not to exceed $220,000.
• Funds are available in the Capital Improvements Program in CO4069.
