· Approve recommendation for award of art grant funds.

· $3,000 is being recommended for Outreach Grants for new organizations
· $3,000 is being recommended to provide a membership and two participants into the Dallas Business Council for the Arts.
· $2000 is being recommended for reproduction materials related to promoting the arts in McKinney. $1500 of this expense will produce a public art brochure researched and developed in partnership with Collin College art students
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· Council appointed commission members and approved funding guidelines for Arts projects in 2005.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The Approved Fiscal Year 2014 Budget includes $185,000 for grants to and support of the arts in McKinney
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
· The Arts Commission recommends accepting the grant recommendations and awarding monies as outlined in the attached Resolution.
