Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department are requesting funds for:
• Bobcat with broom attachment, Ford F550 Tractor and Trailer $ 99,000
• McKinney Community Center fitness equipment $ 30,000
• McKinney Community Center weight room rubber flooring $ 6,000
• Juanita Maxfield and Old Settler’s Aquatic Center pool furniture$ 21,920
• Senior Recreation Center pool tables $ 7,500
• Senior Recreation Center multi-purpose room floor $ 30,700
• Senior Recreation Center multi-purpose room ceiling fans $ 3,500
• Juanita Maxfield Aquatic Center pool shell repairs $ 28,000

MCDC has funded applications submitted by the City of McKinney PROS for the last six years in the following amounts:

• #08-05 Fitness equipment for Community Center,
Senior Center and Old Settlers Park $ 155,340
• #07-12 Parks expansion $2,592,680
• #07-10 Mobile stage and movie system $ 135,990
• #06-10 Parks expansion $2,274,000
• #06-10 Pecan Grove Cemetery $ 90,000
• #06-09 Veterans Memorial $ 200,000
• #05-09 Veterans Memorial $ 150,000
• #05-08 Crape Myrtle Trails $ 625,000
• #05-07 Parks expansion $1,860,000
• #04-07A Parks Expansion $1,295,000
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
Over the past five years, twelve MCDC funded park projects have been completed with savings totaling $432,403 as a result of conservative project administration. These dollars remain available and would be used to fund the requested $226,620.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
MCDC Board of Directors approved funding for this project during the November 10, 2010 board meeting. Board recommends city council approve request.
