• This is a park that is required per a Development Agreement approved by the City in 2018 that was negotiated during the redevelopment of the Craig Ranch ballfields into multi family.
• Per that agreement, the developer is required at their cost to construct a new park that includes landscaping, a linear trail, signage, shade structures and seating. These improvements are currently under construction and once completed the park will be dedicated to the City with the Craig Ranch HOA responsible for maintenance.
• The agreement also stipulates that the City will construct a pedestrian bridge over Watters Branch as well as a gateway monument feature that the Parks Master Plan calls for.
• The pedestrian bridge will link this park to the Craig Ranch Soccer Complex that is to the east. Additionally this bridge will provide a connection to the planned entertainment and restaurant venues that will be forthcoming within HUB 121.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• DCBA was selected from a list of pre-qualified landscape architectural firms that Council approved on June 18, 2019.
• City Council approved naming this park Creekside Park at the December 3, 2019 meeting.
