ITEM SUMMARY:
• Approval of the following budgeted items utilizing cooperative contracts;
1. Purchase of ten (10) 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV for the Patrol Division of the Police Department for $26,260.68 each
2. Purchase of one (1) 2013 Ford F150 extended cab pickup truck, replacing unit # 2217 for the Wastewater Collection Division of Public Works for $25,493.32
3. Purchase of two (2) 2013 Ford F550 crew cab, 4x4 pickup trucks with RKI service body, replacing unit # 23225 and 25258 for the Water Distribution Division of Public Works for $55,150.31 each
4. Purchase of one (1) 2013 Ford F250 pickup truck with RKI service body, replacing unit # 24253 for the Water Distribution Division of Public Works for $25,221.96
5. Purchase of one (1) 2013 Ford F250 crew cab, 4x4 pickup truck, replacing unit # 23251 for the Surface Water Drainage Division of Public Works for $25,908.96
6. Purchase of one (1) 2013 Caterpillar 305.5E Mini Hydraulic Excavator for the Wastewater Collection Division of Public Works for $55,497
• Item 1, Tahoe PPV available for purchase from Reliable Chevrolet, through the State of Texas Term Contract 071-A1
• Items 2 - 5, Pickup trucks available for purchase from Philpott Motors, LTD through Texas Association of School Boards BuyBoard Contract No. 358-10
• Item 6, Mini Hydraulic Excavator available for purchase from Holt Cat, through National IPA Contract 120377
• Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, Interlocal Cooperation Contracts, authorizes cities to make purchases utilizing cooperative contracts such as the ones available through State of Texas, Buyboard and National IPA contracts
