RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution amends the FY2014-2015 annual budget and the 2015-2019 Capital Improvements Program by creating new Capital Improvements Program Projects called WA4409 - FM 546 Water Line Relocations and WW4410 - FM 546 Wastewater Line Relocations.
· The new projects will be funded with funds from the following projects:
O Transferring $365,000 Fund Balance funds from SH 5 Utility Relocation Phase 1 (Town Center) (WA4343) to the Unallocated Fund Balance project (WA0000).
O Transferring $425,000 Issued Revenue Bonds from SH 5 Utility Relocation Phase 1 (Town Center) (WW4353) to the Unallocated Fund Balance project (WA0000); and
O Appropriating $365,000 from the Unallocated Fund Balance (WA0000) for WA4409 - FM 546 Water Line Relocations Project; and
O Appropriating $425,000 from the Unallocated Fund Balance (WA0000) for WW4410 - FM 546 Wastewater Line Relocations Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is in the process of design and right-of-way acquisition for the upcoming construction of the new section of FM 546 along a new alignment from SH 5 to Airport Drive in southeast McKinney.
· The FM 546 Utility Relocation project is to relocate and encase existing water and sanitary sewer lines to clear the proposed roadway facilities needed by TxDOT.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· With approval of this item $385,000 will remain in WA4343, $675,000 will remain in WW4353, $365,000 will remain in WA4409, and $425,000 will remain in WW4410.
