ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the professional services contract to provide additional architectural and engineering (A/E) services related to the completion of design and construction of the TKI Executive Terminal (TKI-ET) located at 1508 Industrial Blvd, McKinney, Texas.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• CaCo is a professional architectural consulting firm based in Dallas and has been the architect of record on multiple successful similar projects for municipalities including the McKinney National Airport.
• As a result of the change in the General Contractor on this project, CaCo is requesting an extension for the Construction Phase to be completed no later than May 8, 2023.
• CaCo has submitted a proposal to provide additional professional architectural and engineering services for the design & completion of the TKI-ET for $35,659.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the professional services contract for architectural and engineering services, including potential changes to the scope of services, with CaCo Architecture, LLC for an amount not to exceed $39,159 which includes a contingency amount of $3,500.
• Upon approval of this item, $938,331 will remain in AI2068.
