ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Roadway Solutions, Inc., for the construction of the Custer Road Illumination from Stonebridge Drive to US 380 Project and authorizing all required change orders for a total contract amount not to exceed $525,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· Savant Group, Inc, prepared the construction plans for this project.
· Five bids for this project were received on September 12, 2013. The following is a summary of the bids:

· Roadway Solutions, Inc., submitted the low bid in the amount of $454,960.
· Roadway Solutions, Inc., submitted references and qualifications that were verified in accordance with the bid specifications.
· Roadway Solutions, Inc., has successfully completed projects for the City of McKinney in the recent past.
· The contract documents require that this project be completed within 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract and all required change orders with Roadway Solutions, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $525,000.
· Funds are available in the Capital Improvements Program in ST2056.
