ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      This item was tabled from the February 24, 2014 and the March 4, 2014 meetings.
 
·      This Resolution authorizes the payment of additional funds to Gateway Hotel One, Ltd. as reimbursement for additional architectural services and authorizes a Deputy City Manager to make said payment for those architectural services related to potential exterior enhancements on the Sheraton Gateway Hotel and Events Center Project.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      The City of McKinney previously executed a development agreement related to the design, construction, financing and management necessary to complete the Sheraton Gateway Hotel and Events Center project.
·      The site plan along with proposed exterior elevations and exterior materials were approved by City Council on October 1, 2013, in conformance with our development agreement for the project.  
·      After that initial approval, the City Council and the MCDC requested the development of potential exterior enhancements to create alternative aesthetics.
·      The additional design services, drawings and renderings related to the City's request for potential exterior enhancements amounts to $52,000 of additional costs, and according to the development agreement, all changes to previously approved plans are to be paid for by the requesting party.
 
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:  
·      Funding for these additional services is available in the Capital Improvements Program FC3253.
