ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a contract with SAI McKinney M, LLC dba Mercedes-Benz of McKinney of McKinney, Texas for the purchase of a SWAT Cargo Van.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued request for proposals (21-46RFP) for the purchase of a SWAT Cargo Van on April 18, 2021.
o Advertised in the McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 193 matching eBid Supplier Notifications
o Including 8 Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) supplier notifications.
• Out of 193 supplier notifications, three (3) proposals were received on May 6, 2021.
• A committee comprised of staff from the Police Department, reviewed, and ranked the proposals based on the following criteria:
o 40 Points - Total Proposed Price
o 30 Points - Ability to Meet the City’s Needs- Minimum Requirements, Warranty offer, and Additional Options Offered
o 20 Points - Delivery Schedule
o 10 Points - Reputation of Respondent and the Respondent’s Goods & Services, Verified Through Reference Checks
• Based on the results of the evaluated proposal, the committee has recommended the award of the contract go to SAI McKinney M, LLC dba Mercedes-Benz of McKinney of McKinney, Texas.
• Contract, not to exceed $95,143.00 for the total price as outlined in the proposal.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding for this project is budgeted in the Grant Fund, 033-3100-426-9204 (GR2105) $80,000 and the Law Enforcement Fund, 011-3126-426-9204 $15,143.
