RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The tournament pavilion will be located in the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch.

 

                     SFCC, Inc. submitted the lowest bid for the construction of the McKinney Soccer Complex Tournament Pavilion project with a bid of $239,300.

o                     A total of eight bids were submitted and accepted.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     LanArc Design, Inc., with Staff support, recommends accepting the bid from SFCC, Inc. for the construction of the McKinney Soccer Complex Tournament Pavilion project.

 

                     This project is scheduled for completion in April 2011.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

 

                     The McKinney Soccer Complex Tournament Pavilion Project (PK6045) is a FY10-11 Capital Improvements Program funded by MCDC funds.

o                     The total project budget including design and construction of the improvements is currently $200,000. A project funding transfer is required to complete the project as planned.

 

o                     Below is a breakdown showing what the new project budget ($259,300) would be if the fund transfers of $59,300 are approved.

                     In a concurrent CIP Amendment, Staff is requesting a funding transfer in the amount of $59,300 to be appropriated from the Mouzon Baseball Spectator Shade Structures project (PK0216) to the McKinney Soccer Complex Tournament Pavilion project (PK6045).

 

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:

                     On October 14, 2010, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board recommended approval of the construction contract for the McKinney Soccer Complex Tournament Pavilion project.
