RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional consulting services contract to provide professional consulting services and owner’s representation services related to multiple public safety projects at 2200 Taylor Burk Drive in McKinney, Texas.
• 720 Design, Inc. has submitted a proposal to provide professional consulting services and owner’s representation services for multiple public safety projects in McKinney for a not to exceed (NTE) fee of $165,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• 720 Design, Inc. is a professional consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas and has been the Owner’s Representative of record on multiple successful City of McKinney projects.
• On December 5, 2017, the City of McKinney signed a resolution (2017-12-205R) approving pre-qualified firms to provide owner’s representation services to the City of McKinney. 720 Design, Inc. is one of the three consulting firms chosen to participate in the consulting vendor pool by RFQ 18-06RFQ for Owner’s Representation Services for Multiple Projects in McKinney.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a professional consulting services contract for professional consulting services and owner’s representation services, including potential changes to the scope of services, with 720 Design, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $180,000 which includes a $15,000 contingency.
• Funds for these services are available within the current appropriations in FC1729 PSB Locker/Fitness Rooms and FC1820 Gun Range projects.
