ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with McMahon Contracting, LP for the construction of Lake Forest Drive Lanes 5 and 6 from SH 121 to McKinney Ranch Parkway for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,970,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Civil Consulting Group, PLLC, prepared the construction plans for this project.
• No right-of-way was acquired for this project as the two additional lanes on Lake Forest Drive will be constructed in the existing median.
• Five bids were received for this project on July 23, 2015. The following is a summary of the bids:

• McMahon Contracting, LP submitted the low bid in the amount of $1,788,710.62.
• McMahon Contracting, LP submitted references and qualifications that were verified in accordance with the bid specifications.
• The contract documents require that this project be completed within 240 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, which is expected in October. Construction is expected to be complete in June 2016.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes a contract and all necessary change orders with McMahon Contracting, LP for an amount not to exceed $1,970,000.
• With approval of this item, $1,970,000 will be encumbered from ST3209 ($108,413 remaining) for construction.
