ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract with Moss Brothers for the construction of the Couch Drive 12-inch Water Line Loop Project, for an amount not to exceed $298,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· This project, designed by Grantham and Associates, Inc., provides a 12-inch water line that will complete a looped water system needed to provide the capacity necessary to meet fire flow requirements for the existing and future facilities in the industrial park.
· The 12-inch water line will be constructed along the southern line of the industrial park, connecting the existing 12-inch main at the southern end of Couch Drive to the existing 12-inch main located on FM 546.
· On June 6, 2013, 11 bids were received for this project. The following is a summary of the bids:

· References for Moss Brothers were verified in accordance with the contract documents and bid specifications.
