ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, the McKinney City Council will appoint members to the various city Boards & Commissions.  Unless noted otherwise, those appointed will serve terms effective October 1, 2021-September 30, 2023.

                     For consideration, interested individuals (including incumbent members with terms expiring in 2021) must complete an application and participate in an interview.

                     The deadline to apply is Friday June 18, 2021. Apply online at <https://mckinney.granicus.com/boards/apply>. Incumbent board members should use the email address on file to update their existing application.

                     Interviews will be conducted in July / August (schedule to be determined)

                     Prior to October 1, new and reappointed members must complete Board Member Orientation conducted by the Board and / or Office of the City Secretary (schedule to be determined)

                     Every year, approximately half of all McKinney Boards & Commissions appointments expire, with those vacancies filled by City Council vote.
