ITEM SUMMARY:
• MUTD Board members requested a discussion item on CCT’s eligibility guidelines at the September Board meeting.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Transit service eligibility guidelines were set by the MUTD Board in 2017. Current service is available to residents over the age of 65, residents with disabilities, and residents who meet the federal low-income guidelines.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Expanding eligibility will come with additional costs to the City. It would not be possible to fully fund the service using only state and federal dollars if eligibility is expanded.
