ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract with North Texas Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the US 75 Utility Relocations Project from North of Wilmeth Road to North of Bloomdale Road, for an amount not to exceed $895,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· This project, designed by Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc., relocates the existing water mains along the section of US 75 between Wilmeth Road and Honey Creek as necessary for the widening of US 75.
· On July 26, 2012, five bids were received for this project and North Texas Contracting, Inc., of Keller, Texas submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $779,960.
· References for North Texas Contracting, Inc. were verified in accordance with the contract documents and specifications.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract with North Texas Contracting, Inc., for an amount not to exceed $895,000.
· Funds are available in the Capital Improvements Program WA9120.
