ITEM SUMMARY:
· This resolution will reject the one proposal received for 15-26CC Community Center Patio Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The City of McKinney issued a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RCSP), (15-26CC) for the Community Center Patio Project in March 2015.
· Proposals for 15-26CC were opened on April 23, 2015.
· A total of one proposal was received.
· The one competitive sealed proposal was received from Mycon in an amount of $1,240,000 (Base bid = $1,100,000 + Bid alts = $140,000 = $1,240,000 total).
· Based on the number of proposals received and the price associated with the proposal exceeding the City's $500,000 estimate, it has been recommended the City reject the one proposal received and issue another Request, in efforts to obtain the best value for the City.
