RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of the proposed Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

  • This Resolution:
  • Establishes a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $3,235,224 for Pogue Construction.
  • Authorizes a contract amendment with Pogue Construction, the Construction Manager for the McKinney Tennis Complex, located at 3253 Alma Road.
  •  
  • BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 
  • The original agreement allowed for the GMP to be proposed after the completion of the design plans and bidding process.
  • The final plans were issued for construction in April, 2011 and have been advertised for bids by Pogue Construction.
  • Pogue Construction has compiled the bids and submitted a final Guaranteed Maximum Price for approval.
  • With this approval, Pogue Construction will be notified to begin construction with completion scheduled for January 2012.

  • FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 
  • Current funding for this contract amendment is available in the Capital Improvements Program in PK5029.
  • The Resolution authorizes a contract for Pogue Construction for an amount not to exceed $3,235,224.

 

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:

                     On May 12, 2011, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board recommended to City Council that Pogue Construction be awarded a contract amendment for the GMP for the Tennis Complex project at 3253 Alma Road.
