RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the attached Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The purpose of these services is to design a pedestrian bridge and hike and bike trail within the 32-acre Finch Park as depicted in the Finch Park Master Plan.
• LanArc Design, Inc. has proposed design and engineering services for the design of the Finch Park Phase IV project in an amount of $53,500
• Scope of services:
o Architectural and Engineering $ 49,750
o Reimbursable Expenses Allowance $ 3,750
o Total $ 53,500
• It is recommended that the Council authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with LanArc Design, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $53,500 for design and engineering services for the Finch Park Phase IV project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• LanArc Design, Inc. designed the Finch Park Master Plan which was approved in April 2010.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Finch Park Phase IV Project (PK1211) is a FY 10-11 Capital Improvements Program funded MCDC funds.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
• On May 12, 2011 the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board recommended to City Council that LanArc Design, Inc. be awarded a design contract for the Finch Park Phase IV project.
