ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with Air Conditioning Innovative Solutions, Inc. of McKinney, TX for as needed plumbing services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The contract with our existing Plumbing Services vendors expired February 16, 2021.
* The City issued Invitation to Bid 21-02FP, Plumbing Services on January 10, 2021.
o Advertised in McKinney Courier Gazette
o Posted on McKinney TV
o 175 matching eBid Supplier Notifications
* In response to all notices published, seven (7) bids were received on February 1, 2021.
* An evaluation group comprised of staff from Facilities Maintenance reviewed and ranked the proposals based on the following criteria:
o Price (Hourly labor rates and percent mark-up on materials)
o Reputation of bidder's goods and services verified through references
o Response time (Emergency and Non-emergency)
o Extent to which the goods and services meet the City's needs
o McKinney Local Presence
* After careful consideration of all evaluation criteria and additional materials received the evaluation group recommends Air Conditioning Innovative Solutions, Inc. of McKinney, Texas.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* Fiscal year 2020's plumbing services spend was approximately $120,804.
