RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Discussion and possible action on casting votes for the candidate(s) to the Board of Directors to the Central Appraisal District.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· The City of McKinney has 187 votes to cast in the election of the Board of Directors for the Central Appraisal District
· The terms of office will be two years beginning January 1, 2014.
· Board of Director Nominees are:
o Ronald Carlisle - current board member
o Dr. Leo Fitzgerald - current board member
o Wayne Mayo - current board member
o Gary Rodenbaugh - current board member
o Roy Wilshire - current board member
o Tiffany Burleson
o Michael A. Pirek
· The McKinney Independent School District Board of Trustees at their meeting on November 19, 2013 allocated their 403 votes among the five incumbents as follows: Wayne Mayo-203 votes, Ronald Carlisle-50 votes, Leo Fitzgerald-50 votes, Gary Rodenbaugh-50 votes, and Roy Wilshire-50 votes.
· The City has received a letter and Resolution from the City of Richardson Mayor Laura Maczka requesting the City of McKinney's support for Wayne Mayo.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· In 2011, the City of McKinney cast all of their 100 votes for Wayne Mayo and 100 votes for Dr. Leo Fitzgerald.
