ITEM SUMMARY:
• McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by the Heritage Guild of Collin County for costs related to improvements to buildings located at Chestnut Square.
• The project includes painting Dulaney House, Dulaney Cottage and the Chapel.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The mission of Heritage Guild of Collin County is to celebrate community, preserve history and inspire the future.
• HGCC was organized more than 40 years ago.
• HGCC supports Chestnut Square Historic Village - a McKinney museum and tourist destination offering diverse programs and activities throughout the year.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funds allocated for FY21 for discretionary Project Grants is $1,530,105.
• The project grant application is eligible for consideration by the MCDC board under Section 505.152 of the Texas Local Government Code.
