RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes an amendment to the professional services contract to provide additional architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of the McKinney Municipal Service Center - North Campus located at 3501 North Central Expressway, McKinney, Texas 75071.
* The selected consultant team, Quorum Architects, Inc., submitted a proposal to provide professional architectural design and engineering services for an additional 2,000 square foot space originally shown to be future space in the McKinney Municipal Service Center - North Campus for $15,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Quorum Architects, Inc. is an award winning professional architectural consulting services firm based in Fort Worth, Texas, that specializes in public architecture with an emphasis on public works projects.
* On February 10, 2018, the City of McKinney signed a resolution (2018-02-023R) approving pre-qualified firms to provide architectural and engineering services to the City of McKinney. Quorum Architects, Inc. is one of the five architectural firms chosen to participate in the A/E vendor pool by RFQ 18-16RFQ for A/E Services for various projects for the City of McKinney.
