RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Staff recommends Council approve the Resolution adopting the 2011-2012 Strategic Plan
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution approves the contents of the Council’s 2011-2012 Strategic Plan, which include:
1. Council’s strategic goals for the next year.
2. The 15 year vision for the City.
3. Policy and Management Action Agendas that detail a path to accomplishing each goal.
• Throughout the process, Council identified eight major priorities for which to focus, with economic development related issues being prevalent throughout the list.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• City Council meets with a facilitator annually to set the strategic direction for the City through a determination of goals and priorities.
• Council discussed their goals and priorities during a Work Session on May 3, 2011.
