ITEM SUMMARY:
· The Council authorized the City Manager to enter into negotiations with Collin College for the construction and use of various public safety training facilities, including a burn tower and shoot house.
· The City is prepared to offer free use of City-owned land near Redbud and Bloomdale Road and fund up to $2.5 million in construction costs for the facilities.
· The attached agreement memorializes the terms by which the City would receive use of the facilities, by which the College would construct the facilities, and by which we would partner on the project.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The necessary funding for this project is included in the proposed FY2014 budget, and if approved by the City Council and College Board of Trustees, we expect the facility to open in mi- 2015.
