ITEM SUMMARY:
· The PRIL Committee selected Red Media Group as its preferred consultant for the 83rd Legislative Session and was satisfied with services received during that session.
· The amended contract will also include the McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC).
· Red Media group will promote the City's interests at the state level and keep the City, Chamber, and MEDC updated as other applicable issues arise.
· The agreement between Red Media Group and the City, Chamber, and MEDC will begin December 1, 2013 and November 30, 2015.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The PRIL committee competitively procured Red Media group in May 2012 for consulting services during the 83rd Legislative Session.
· The PRIL committee went on to interview two alternative consulting firms, of which they selected RED Media group as the preferred vendor.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· There will be a monthly flat fee of $5,000 of which the City will pay one third.
· Reimbursable expenses up to $250 per month of which the City will pay one third, if needed.
· Over the two year term, the cost to the City of McKinney will be $40,000, not to exceed $42,000.
