RECOMMENDED PROS BOARD ACTION:
* Approval of the terms to be included in a resolution and memorandum of understanding allowing for a public/private partnership between the City of McKinney and the Sunrise Rotary Club allowing for design and construction of an All-Inclusive Playground at Bonnie Wenk Park.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This item allows for input related to the terms for inclusion in a public / private partnership with the Sunrise Rotary Club.
* Terms being considered are intended to allow completion of a resolution for City Council consideration authorizing the Interim City Manager to execute a memorandum of understanding with the Sunrise Rotary Club.
* Execution of the agreement will enable the design and construction of an All-Inclusive playground valued at approximately $500,000.
* Construction of the All-Inclusive playground will be allowed on City property, specifically at Bonnie Wenk Park.
* All costs directly related to the All-Inclusive playground design and construction will be paid for by the Sunrise Rotary Club.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The Sunrise Rotary Club approached the City with a request to construct an All-Inclusive Playground in a City Park.
* The City agreed to allow the All-Inclusive Playground to be constructed in a City Park, specifically at Bonnie Wenk Park.
