ITEM SUMMARY:
• The attached ordinance details the proposed changes to fees in the Code of Ordinances and Appendix A Schedule of Fees. These include:
o MPAC Rental Rates
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The new verbiage and rates in the ordinance are in blue and underlined for easier reading. Verbiage and rates to be removed are in red.
• The McKinney Performing Arts Center intends to increase revenues and reduce staff costs in managing events by requiring minimum standards of use for space and placing more consistent pricing on each room based on size.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: None.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Currently, there are no minimum requirements for renting the facility in terms of allotted time. This does not allow the facility to recover costs in turning over events. By leveling the price structure by size of room, we intend to increase the number of rental usage with a projected increase in revenue by $20,000 in FY 2011.
