ITEM SUMMARY:
· This item authorizes the Interim City Manager to release a portion of an unnecessary former Danville Water Supply Corporation (Danville) blanket water line easement located within the Republic Self Storage Addition (Property).
· The Republic Self Storage Addition is located approximately 1200 feet north of the intersection of Virginia Parkway and Custer Road on the east side of the roadway.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The subject easement was acquired in 1967 by Danville as a blanket water pipeline easement (Easement) across an approximate 111.70 acres parcel.
· The City acquired all the right, title and interest in the Easement when the City acquired ownership of Danville.
· The portion of the Easement that runs across the Property is no longer necessary or used by the City to supply potable water and other utility services to said Property.
