ITEM SUMMARY:
· The Human Resources Department requested Requests for Proposals for a search firm to recruit a Chief of Police.
· The Mercer Group was the firm selected as the most qualified to conduct the search.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· On August 4, 2014, the City Council approved a contract with Law Enforcement Leadership and Management Consulting, LLC for David James to serve as the Interim Police Chief.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The contract is for an amount not to exceed $24,500 and will be paid out of the Human Resources account 001-1211-413-8528.
