ITEM SUMMARY:
· Council members Ricchi and Harris has requested a discussion regarding Board and Commission Member Orientation process, appointment and eligibility.
· A Board and Commission Town Hall meeting has been scheduled for October 30, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the McKinney Performing Arts Center to present the Council's vision and goals to all the Board and Commission members.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The City Council adopted a policy on Board and Commission Member Appointment and Eligibility on June 30, 2008
· The City Council adopted amendments to the policy on Board and Commission Member Appointment and Eligibility on January 26, 2009, July 21, 2009, August 17, 2009, May 24, 2010, June 15, 2010, and October 4, 2011.
