ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to enter into a five (5) year Interlocal Agreement with North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) which allows for the acquisition of Nearmap’s recurring and/or oblique imagery. This resource will provide information for a multitude of uses throughout the GIS map library, thus serving a valid public purpose in the information the city provides for McKinney residents as well as many other sources outside McKinney.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The aerial imagery subscription includes Orthogonal imagery, two (2) Ortho captures per year, unlimited number of user licenses to the web-based product/application MapBrowser, access to existing Nearmap historical data (where available) and on-premise copy plus external media drive for delivery of Orthogonal imagery (1 flight per year). This information is relied upon by various departments for critical decision making as well as assisting residents, businesses, etc. with requested information.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Information Technology budget contains a line item for the purchase of aerial photography. This agreement will have a five (5) year term in the amount of $18,750 payable on an annual basis at $3,750.
