ITEM SUMMARY:
* McKinney Main Street is requesting $109,320.00 to refresh Christmas decorations in Downtown McKinney including:
o $35,000 for the lighting of Dr. Glenn Mitchell Park (uplighting package for year-round illumination of park trees; 2 Arches for Mitchell Park walkway; and Installation of lighted displays);
o $55,750 for MPAC outdoor decorations (6 oversized nutcrackers, Two 3D illuminated stars for NE and SW corners; and 2 sleighs);
o $9,870 for Community Christmas Tree ornaments;
o $3,200 for Holiday Postcard Pop-up Photo Ops (three interactive photo ops created and designed by local artists; and
o $5,500 for Light pole snowflakes of varying sizes.
* The refresh will allow Main Street to replace weathered decorations and keep up with the growth of the Downtown footprint.
* Continuing to provide an inviting holiday environment will keep shoppers coming back to the city's unique Downtown.
