ITEM SUMMARY:
* McKinney Community Development Corporation will conduct a public hearing on a project grant application submitted by The Haddington Fund, LP for two neon signs at The Flour Mill in McKinney.
* One sign will be installed on top of The Flour Mill to promote and draw visitor focus on one of McKinney's landmark buildings.
* Two additional signs will be installed on the building promoting The Diamond Hall.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The McKinney Flour Mill opened in 1872 and is now a historic gem and focal point in the heart of McKinney's East Side and Historic Cultural District.
* The venue hosts corporate events, weddings and other celebrations in its unique event halls.
* Additionally, The Flour Mill is home to several local businesses.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* Funds allocated for MCDC discretionary Project Grants for FY23 totaled $2,177,223.
* In FY 2021, MCDC awarded a Retail Development Infrastructure Grant for $25,000 for infrastructure improvements to Ashlee's Garden, an outdoor event space located at The Flour Mill.
