RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution awards a contract to Lattimore Materials to provide ready mixed concrete to the City of McKinney on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The City of McKinney issued an invitation to bid (13-25FP) for ready mixed concrete, in June 2013.
- 48 vendors received Invitation to Bid No. 13-25FP
- 17 vendors reviewed Invitation to Bid No. 13-25FP
· Bid opening of 13-25FP was held on July 11, 2013.
- Total of one (1) bid was received.
· Research revealed that cooperative contracts with other local government entities would not fulfill all of the City of McKinney's ready mixed concrete product needs.
· Recommend awarding all items on Bid No. 13-25FP to Lattimore Materials
- Contract shall commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with four (4) one (1) year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· Funding is available in various amounts city-wide.
