ITEM SUMMARY:
* This item authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the Collin County Community College District (College) for the construction and reimbursement of construction activities related to the City's Redbud Pump Station 794 PP Transmission Water Line Project (WA1624) and the Public Safety Training Facility (PSTF).
* The proposed agreement states that the City may install the transmission line across the Water Line Easement area located on the PSTF site. The City will reimburse the College for an amount equal to $24,000, which includes remobilization costs of the College's contractor, and costs associated with the construction and removal of a temporary flex base driveway that will provide temporary access to Redbud Boulevard across the Water Line Easement area.
* The City is currently under contract with S.J. Louis Construction of Texas, Ltd. for the construction of the water transmission line (WA1624).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The construction contract for the Redbud Pump Station 794 PP Transmission Water Line Project (WA1624) was approved by Resolution No. 2017-09-179 (R) on September 19, 2017.
