• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The UASI program focus is to support state and local efforts to prevent terrorism and other catastrophic events and to prepare the nation for the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to our security.
• This project will address the National Priority Area for Enhancing Community Preparedness and Resilience.
• The Disaster Recovery Plan will map community assets and interdependencies, identify resource gaps, integrate identified hazards and vulnerabilities, and focus on outcome-driven recovery enabling greater control over recovery efforts, thereby enhancing the City’s strategy for building community resilience.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The UASI program grant award has been sought annually by the City of McKinney to help prepare for, respond to, and recover from natural, man-made, and technological threats and hazards.

• There is no match required for this grant. Grant award anticipated $60,000.
