RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:      
·      Approval of the Ordinance.
 
ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      This Ordinance abandons approximately 0.016 acres located on the east side of Coit Road south of Westridge Blvd with the following conditions:
o      The City of McKinney reserves an exclusive, utility easement within the entirety of the abandoned right-of-way.
o      The owner of adjacent tract dedicate 0.021 acres of right-of-way along the east side of Coit Road as shown on Exhibit B.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      Northbound two lanes of Coit Road and eastbound two lanes of Westridge Blvd are currently under construction by private developer.
·      The acquisition of the right-of-way is necessary for the construction of the intersection of Coit Road and Westridge Blvd to current design standards and adjustments per coordination with City of Frisco.
·      Public and Private utilities along Coit Rd are located within or adjacent to the subject tract and require a utility easement to be retained across the subject strip.
