RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a contract with Fugro USA Land, Inc. to provide materials testing services during the construction of Country Lane Extension Project, for an amount not to exceed $85,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* A concurrent item is included on the Council Agenda recommending award of a construction contract for the Country Lane Extension Project (ST4372).
* Material testing services will be required on the project to ensure construction materials used by the contractor meet or exceed City requirements.
* Fugro USA Land, Inc. submitted a response to RFQ 18-22 for miscellaneous geotechnical and materials testing services. They were one of five firms shortlisted by City Council on March 6, 2018.
* Fugro USA Land, Inc. is currently performing in a similar capacity on other Capital projects.
* Fugro USA Land, Inc. has submitted a proposal for their professional services in the amount of $76,430.00.
* Reimbursement for materials testing services provided will be made based on actual time and materials billing in an amount not to exceed the estimated proposal amount.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
