RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Staff recommends denial of the proposed rezoning request due to lack of conformance with the goals and objectives of the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
However, should the rezoning request be approved, the subject property shall develop in accordance with Section 146-114 (“LI” - Light Industrial District) of the zoning ordinance, and as amended.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The applicant is requesting to rezone approximately 0.53 acres of land from “RS 60” - Single Family Residence District to “LI” - Light Industrial District.
• On September 27, 2016, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6-0-0 to continue the public hearing and table the item to the October 11, 2016 meeting per the applicant’s request.
• On October 11, 2016, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 7-0-0 to continue the public hearing and table the item to the October 25, 2016 meeting per the applicant’s request.
