Title
Consider/Discuss/Act on a Fifth Amendment to the Robinson Ridge Facilities Agreement Deferring Parkland Dedication until December 31, 2012.
Summary
MEETING DATE: December 6, 2011
DEPARTMENT: Parks, Recreation and Open Space
CONTACT: Lemuel Randolph, Director of Parks, Recreation and Open
Space
RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Staff recommends approval of the agreement.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The developer currently has a facilities agreement in place that requires parkland to be dedicated or cash in lieu of parkland paid to the City by December 31, 2011. The developer has indicated that they are not prepared at this time to dedicate the land to the City and have requested an extension until December 31, 2012.
• This is the fourth extension requested by the developer.
• Staff is comfortable allowing the extension due to the fact that the subdivision is currently not completed therefore there is no road access to the proposed land dedication. Furthermore, the City does not currently have funds budgeted to make any improvements to the land at this time.
• The specifics of the parkland agreement and the remainder of the facilities agreement will not change.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The subject property is an existing subdivision located generally 2,200 feet west of Lake Forest Drive on the north side of Wilmeth Road and east of future Ridge Road.
