RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approve resolution to redirect $9,078 in unspent funds from FY21 Arts Commission budget to the FY22 Public Art Fund balance.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• In FY21, the City Council allocated $200,000 to the McKinney Arts Commission to further the Arts Commission mission ‘to create a vibrant and viable arts community in which diverse, high quality arts opportunities are available to McKinney residents and visitors.’
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• City Council approved the Resolution 2013-11-107(R) which stated ‘that any unspent funds allocated annually to the Arts Commission for support of the Arts in McKinney may be redirected to the Public Art Fund.’
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• $9,078 remain as unspent FY21 Arts Commission funds that may be redirected to the Public Art Fund with City Council approval.
