ITEM SUMMARY:
• Staff is requesting $750 from the McKinney Arts Commission Project Budget for a portion of the expenses for a nonprofit board training to include Arts groups.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Volunteer McKinney, in collaboration with Collin College, MCDC and the McKinney Arts Commission is bringing JoLynne Jensen to McKinney on September 17, 2016 to provide a six hour training to nonprofit board members and executive directors on best practices and fundraising.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• On October 6, 2015, Resolution #2015-10-108, the City Council allocated $15,000 to the McKinney Arts Commission to pay for Special Projects.
• The $750 Nonprofit Board Training will be paid from this fund leaving a balance of $7,750.
