RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes the approval of the revisions to the exterior elevations proposed by the design team on the Sheraton Gateway Hotel and Events Center Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The site plan along with proposed exterior elevations and exterior materials were approved by City Council on October 1, 2013, in conformance with our development agreement for the project.
· After that initial approval, the City Council and the MCDC requested the development of potential exterior enhancements to create alternative aesthetics and those proposed exterior enhancements were approved on April 1, 2014.
· The design team is currently proposing additional revisions, as attached, to the exterior elevations centering primarily around the screening of mechanical units on the various roof-tops.
· This item was mentioned in the previously approved agenda item on exterior enhancements and requires approval prior to the issuance of a full building permit for the project.
· The costs associated with these proposed exterior elevation revisions are included in the previously presented Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and no additional funding is required.
