RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Staff recommends adopting the City Council Goals and Strategies as they are presented.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· City Staff has used feedback presented in previous work sessions to update the City Council Goals and Strategies.
· Staff is now bringing the updated Goals and Strategies back to the City Council for approval.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· On January 29, 2015 the City Council held a retreat to discuss their goals for the City.
· On February 23, 2015, City Staff returned to City Council with a document outlining the discussed goals and strategies that may be used to accomplish them.
· Based on the feedback received in these discussions Staff has updated the document.
· These goals are centered on the notion that city leaders will place McKinney First when making decisions.
