ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Ordinance was created to establish the rules for the dog park at Bonnie Wenk Park, that is set to open in the Spring of 2013.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The dog park rules were developed through:
o a review of surrounding cities dog park rules
o consultation with Mckinney Animal Control and PD staff
o consultation with a local group of dog park enthusiasts .
· These rules are recommended to assist in effectively managing the safety and enjoyment of dog park visitors.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· The dog rules signage is to be installed in accordance with the current construction contract.
