ITEM SUMMARY:
• Ovation’s 2022 Spring/Summer productions will consist of eleven productions from February through August.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Ovation Academy School of Performing Arts provides onsite training in the disciplines of Dance, Acting, Musical Theatre and Theatrical Production and Design.
• Additionally, students are also trained in the business of being a professional artist and the life-skills needed to succeed in the industry.
• Ovation believes in a “whole-istic” approach to learning.
• Ovation offers a Conservatory Academy for students in grades 6-12; a Homeschool Program for students grades K-12; and After-Hours Community Outreach programs for ages 3 to adult.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• MCDC’s allocation for Promotional and Community Event grants for FY 22 is $200,000, $100,000 for Cycle I applicants, and $100,000 for Cycle II applicants.
• MCDC provided a Promotional and Community Event grant totaling $5,000 in FY 21 for advertising, marketing and promotion of the 2021 performances.
