RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of the attached Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• Gabe Nesbitt Community Park is located at 7001 Eldorado Parkway.
• SFCC, Inc. submitted the lowest bid for the construction of the Gabe Nesbitt Baseball Spectator Shade Structure project with a bid of $274,900.
• A total of nine bids were submitted and accepted.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• LanArc Design, Inc., with Staff support, recommends accepting the bid from SFCC, Inc. for the construction of the Gabe Nesbitt Baseball Spectator Shade Structures project.
• This project is scheduled for completion in February 2011.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Gabe Nesbitt Baseball Spectator Shade Structures (PK0215) is a FY 10-11 Capital Improvements Program project funded by MCDC funds.
• The total project budget including design and construction of the improvements is $325,000.
• Architectural and Engineering Design Fees $ 18,150
• Construction Contract $ 274,900
• Project Contingency $ 31,950

BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
• On October 14, 2010, the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board recommended approval of the construction contract for the Gabe Nesbitt Baseball Spectator Shade Structure project.
