ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      This item authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute an agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the participation in right of way acquisition for the FM 546 project in the amount of $1,187,276.10.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      For the development of the FM 546 project TxDOT has agreed to participate in the acquisition of the right-of-way needed for the project.
·      TxDOT will contribute 90 percent of the funds needed to acquire the right-of-way and the City of McKinney will contribute the remaining 10 percent.
·      TxDOT will acquire all of the property needed for the project.
·      There are 14 right of way parcels and 14 easements that must be acquired for the project.  
·      The costs in this agreement include right of way acquisition and reimbursable utility adjustments.
      ·      The total cost of the right-of-way acquisition is $11,872,761.
      ·      The City of McKinney's 10 percent contribution is $1,187,276.10.  
 
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:  
·      Funding for this agreement is included in the Capital Improvements Program Project ST1232.
·      With the approval of this item, $13,812,724 will remain in project ST1232.
